Day156 - Like drinking old lady perfume

Wednesday, June 4, 2008: The garage: Cream Soda

Today, we went shopping for parts and things and fabrics and other things. We are really trying to get this sucker done and kicking ass on the finishing touches is our life right now.

On the way home from Altoona (we were at the haven of all things cheap, Surplus City), we stopped at Clems BBQ (the haven of all things beautifully bbq-ed). Troy picked up two Stewarts sodas as we made our way back: a Black Cherry for me and a Cream Soda for him.

To be fair I've had cream soda before, namely A-Treat, the makers of the very best orange soda a kid can dream of. But! This is the first and only cream soda that I've ever liked - EVER. I don't know why cream soda usually turns my stomach, but to me it usually tastes like old lady perfume or something similiar. I know, gross.

Well, I've changed my mind. This was really very good, although please keep your hands off my black cherry.

Day140 - Maybe I'm just mad because I gave up fries and all fried potatoes.

Monday, May 19, 2008: Corner Room: Burger

Wendi was cool enough to bring me back my bag to the Corner Room to meet us for lunch. I was kind of sweating not having my cell phone or camera. I think not having my camera was harder.

It's weird seeing Wendi all dressed up and professional. I think it's because I can't believe that I (or any of my friends) get dressed up and look professional - like I'm eternally caught up in the idea that I'm 20 and a kid. Well, whatever. If it keeps me looking like I'm young, I'll keep believing it.

Anywho, here is my Chipotle BBQ burger. First, I asked for it to be cooked too long. Second, I am notorious for not reading the whole description on a menu and I was surprised when this came with bacon on it. It was ok - really not that hot for having chipotle in the title. Maybe I'm just mad because I gave up fries and all fried potatoes.

I had a vanilla milkshake too. Yes, that is a little bit of a contradiction - denying fries for ice cream and No, I don't want to talk about it.

We saw this guy on the way home. Craziness.

Thanks for meeting us for lunch Wendi. Anytime you want to have lunch, just say it. You make us look respectable.
