Day205 - More junk for my trunk.

Wednesday, July 23, 2008: My kitchen: Coconut Patties.

Jess brought these back from Florida as a thank you for cat sitting the totally awesome Nikko. They were pretty insane and crazy sweet. Something like my Nana's Easter Eggs. I could have fought ninjas with the sugar rush I got right after.

Troy loved them. He ate them secretly every other day until they were gone. He is such a sneaky son of a bitch.

Day204 - Cookies!

Tuesday, July 22, 2008: My kitchen: cookies.

I thought these suckers would be good for my junk food addiction right now. If you eat the recommended serving size, by which I can totally abide by, they aren't so bad or high in calories. For some reason, I'm really addicted to chocolate right now. It's wierd. I'm usually not that kind of girl.

Day203 - Digging for gold

Monday, July 21, 2008: My kitchen, Pineapple corer.

Troy's mom bought this super awesome Pineapple corer. Jesus it is neat.

After we cored it, we ate it. The whole damn thing. We just munched, munched, munched on the couch watching something dumb on tv. So good.

Pineapple meet death.

As you can see, this sucker was juicey.

But it made this neat empty shell.

Troy dug right in.

And I was right behind him.

Day202 - Cactus remind me of my black thumb.

Sunday, July 20, 2008: Nana's House: Cactus Pear.

I went shopping to this little grocery store outside of Schuylkill Haven where all produce is crazy dirt cheap and I bought a couple of these little suckers.

It is a cactus pear. I'm not quite sure how to describe the taste - something like a kiwi and a watermelon mix. Kind of bland but with a shitload of seeds. This might be your kind of thing if you like eating pomegranates, but otherwise don't bother.

Here is what it looks like on the inside. I, surprisingly, did not have a camera to take a picture of this myself, so I nicked some from the interwebs.

I thought this was pretty cool: here is a cactus pear growing on a, duh, cactus.

Saturday, July 19, 2008: Hazleton: Taco Bell

I ate one of the new Taco Bell cheesy taquitos. Um, ew. I'm giving up Taco Bell for good. So that leaves me with Buger King and Sheetz as the only two places I can eat on the road (We both gave up McD's, KFC and Wendy's months and months ago).

Here are some pictures of a trip to Harry's U Pull It instead.

Day200 - Just because it's new doesn't make it good.

Friday, July 18, 2008: In the car: Nutty bar.

I bought this shitty Ben and Jerry's nutty bar on the way home to Frackville. It was terrible. Just bad, bad stuff. Ew. Let's not talk about it any longer.

The dirty culprit.
