Day67 - Of Tikis and Oranges.

Friday, March 7, 2008: Cali Day 2

We woke up kinda early and we to VgKids again. John had to work. So did Troy and I. It worked out well I guess.

Here is my breakfast. My new healthy diet did not last last long here.

There is an organic garden on the way back to the shop.

I'm not sure what this is.

This must have been an old train station. Now it's a beer shop.

This is the project that John was working on that day.

That night, we went to First Friday so check out some galleries. They had this bike project off one of the alleys in downtown Oakland. They had a bunch of bikes that we reimagined in some way and this project was two bikes at different ends that you peddled to make a centrifuge.

At night, we went to the Tiki Bar on Piedmont. We were really jet lagged still, so we didn't stay too very long. Here is one of their seats.

Photobucket

These were giant blowfish that they made into lamps. Very cool.
