Day78 - Goodbye my friend, I will not see you again.

Tuesday, March 18, 2008: Cherry Lane Salon: New Haircut

Today I took the plunge. After 4 years of steady growing, I cut my too long hair. I'm going to send it to Locks of Love with a nice donation incase my hair is not up to their standards.

Here is my ponytail. It's 12 inches if you couldn't read the ruler. Plus she probably cut off 2 more inches to loose the dead weight. That is a lot of hair.

Here is what was left on the floor. I'm thinking total, I probably had 15-16 inches cut.

Here are some before shots I took a little before I left for Cherry Lane.

Allison at Cherry Lane was really very nice and the salon is very cute and a little French countryside. Instead of regular tables for their stations, they use antique-looking armoires with mirrors.

She very nicely told me my hair care sucked and wants me to do better. She advised to not use any rubber bands on my hair right now - or ever - because my hair is too thin and we are working towards me having thicker hair. I can use scrunchies or alligator clips. When I told her what I did use, the look on her face was kind of priceless. I'll try to refrain, even though I don't think that I have a choice - my ponytail options right now are limited.

Here are a couple afters. I'm really happy about it. The hair feels really good and light. It was really weird to walk for the first time without it. I can't describe it fully.

Here is Troy with a rat tail.I think the weirdest part is that it looks completely natural for him to have. I'm not sure how I feel about that.

He might steak my tail before I can donate it. He's sneaky like that.
