Day89 - The rest of it.

Saturday, March 29, 2008: Much new.

I didn't want to sully a perfectly good post about some rocking dip going on and on about the rest of the day. But…

…Today is Troy's birthday. It is also the second trip to Splatz paintball and home to a nice b-day party at our house.

Paintball was much of the same, except with twice as many people. Returning faves Jerm, Wendi, Kyle, Troy and Melissa; new blood including Tre, Nick, Ryan, Adam, Jenn and Derek.

I think that everybody has the fever. I don't know how to explain it in a way that doesn't make it sound queer. The easier way: it is fun to shoot your friends. It is fun to be competitive with guys. It is fun to be in a league with girls who want to shoot friends that happen to be guys.

And I don't even like guns. I believe that they are a privilege, not a right, and far too many assholes in the country have them. Instead, everyone should carry paintball markers. That way if you need to shoot someone, at least it is not permanent.

So, I'm babbling.

Here is us before.

Here is us after - tired and not in the mood for posing.

I got shot in the face… a lot.

Tre and I ate some paintballs that were laying on the ground. They don't taste that great actually.

This happened.

It is pretty difficult to see the other team, as illustrated by this photo. Count the dudes, I think there are 3.

Later that night we celebrated. A lot.

This guy came out to inspect the premises.

Wendi ice skated through the back yard, which is pretty impressive seeing how there was no ice.

Photobucket

This burned for a while.

Photobucket

These guys drank for some time.

This happened.

We went to the Dode and took off our jackets.

Photobucket

And fell asleep.

There are more photos. Hundreds of them actually. I could post forever. But it was a great day and night.

This is not the end of it, just a continuation.
