Saturday, April 5, 2008: Centre Hall: Doans Bones.
Poor Toofy had to go to the vet. He has a limp and isn't using his leg properly. We realized he was limping after last weekend's paintball weekend, but we were hoping that it was just a strain so we waited it out a couple of days. It was evident by Friday that he wasn't getting any better so off to the vet we went Saturday AM.
Our vet at Centre Animal Hospital (THE BEST VET EVER) hooked him up with a little bit of pain killer/anti-inflammatory. Toofy is doing better, but not 100% and we are optimistic that it isn't a break - maybe just a sprain. Wheew. You don't have many options with a broken Toofy leg, trust me.
We were early for our appt., so we drove around Centre Hall for a bit. We saw this guy.
And his buddy.
On our way home, we stopped at Doans Bones. I love pulled pork. It wasn't a hard decision to make.
The inside.
I know this isn't a good picture, but this is what I think "Freedom" looks like.
This is what it looks like when not reflected in a pork diner. The thought that some pig, somewhere, might have experienced this absolute freedom makes me so happy.
I know that it's in direct opposition to the fact that this sandwich also made me really happy.
In my mind I can somehow separate the two. Although I going to try not to think about it too hard.
