Week 49: MRSA is not a friend of mine. Neither is this hippy.

Life after the Polar Plunge was a little bit of a bummer. The Plunge was just such a huge rush of adrenalin, that when I came down I got a little blue. Oddly, that is exactly how I felt after seeing Transformers in the theatre.

The rest of the weekend and the week to come we did the normal holiday stuff, like get a tree. Troy thought this would fit, I did not, I got mad at the tape measure and in the spirit of compromise and frustration I said, "Screw it, bring it in the house."

It only kind of fits.

It does look great in here now and is probably the nicest tree we have ever cut down ourselves.

The rest of the week I just moped about the house. I was busy at work and Troy was busy at the garage. Check out his blog to see what he has been busy with. The pick up is looking "REAL." And by real, I mean, like something that could actually drive. It is really cool.

We did Pictures with Santa for the NBR. Luke had his picture taken with the Easter Bunny earlier this year (we will have pictures with the Easter Bunny come the spring BTW), and it was Chinta's turn with Santa. He was pissed all day! And when Chinta gets mad he gets even by destroying something of ours somehow. Cute.

I was the photographer for the first time, which is usually Troy's job, because we went digital instead of polaroid. Because of the fun, stress and back&leg breaking strain of the job, we missed helping Jess move into her new apt down the street. Sorry Jess.

Also, this weekend (12/6-9) was Victorian Xmas in Bellefonte. Tons of fun. We went into some new stores, including "The Candy Shop" on High Street. We bought some chocolate laced with japaleno's. Really very good if not absolutely terrible.

Friday, 12/7/07: Bellefonte: The High Street Pub.

This is a new restaurant in Bellefonte that opened over the summer. Because we are such suckers for for restaurants that are on our block, we never went to this one down the street.

We could have probably made a reservation, or not picked one of the busiest nights in the fonte (next to Arts Fest or the Cruise, it's pretty crazy), but we were hungry and our judgement was clouded.

The hostess apologized as she sat us in one of the front windows. It was absolutely ideal for use. We were off from the main dining room and it was private as it can be with 6 floor to ceiling windows.

An Irish band was playing near the bar. Such great mood music. Every once and a while they would play a foot stomper with singing, other songs were just relaxing background music.

I had the Apple Glazed Pork Chop with smashed potatoes. Troy had Bangers and Mash (sausage and potatoes). The mashed potatoes there are fantastic. Really very good, and my pork chop was just huge - probably a half inch thick. Troy didn't talk much during dinner, we just had a battle of whose meal was better by shoving bites into one another's mouth.

I would like to show you photos of the night, but I forgot my camera in another purse and the photos that we took with Troy's cell phone. Unfortunately, after having the phone for a week, Troy broke it and we had to send it back. Magnets and metal shavings DO NOT work with cell phones babe.

Saturday, 12/8/07: Zeno's: Blue Method.

I've known Jerm for awhile, but he lives in Phillipsburg, which might as well be on the other side of the earth, and I don't see him very often. AND apparently, he doesn't know where Bellefonte is. Or is too shitty to make the drive. Whatevs.

We met him and his new girl Wendi at Zeno's to see The Blue Method. I wanted to see them for about 2 years and I finally got a chance to which was awesome. It was packed in there with dudes with beards and vests, and I've worked at home long enough that the human touch of strangers really creeps me out.

Maybe anxiety medication would help me out.

Or maybe I just don't like strangers. Either/or.

So we creeped off to the side room after a couple songs and a few dancing hippies and eventually grabbed a table after being poked by one to many pool sticks.

We drank a lot, or at least I did. We took a lot of pictures. Here are some of the better ones. If I would have blogged this a couple weeks ago, I could tell you more of what happened, but time + beer = memory loss.

I do know at last call, I ordered a Blue Moon, but spilled it because I clumsy when I'm sober and worse when I am not. Troy told me not to lick it off the table, which then meant that I HAD too. Bad decision and Troy was right. I may have gotten MRSA. I felt bad for awhile. I still blame every ache and pain on that damn table.

That said, table Blue Moon tastes the same as regular Blue Moon.

Some weird shit happened while we were there.

There was a dude dressed as a chick who would only mention the dude thing after they started making out. I'm all for being trans-gendered, I love to go with the flow and everyone should be happy, but being unhonest is shitty.

We met a hippy that made out with her. I don't know what he was talking about. All I gathered from the conversation (during last call), was that he fucked a bunch of chicks and he wouldn't mind tapping my ass while he was at it. Lovely.

He was such a gentleman that he pushed me out of my seat and I had to steal half of Wendi's. See, lovely.

Here are some photos.

I don't know why we did this. Some sort of solidarity thing I suppose.

This is Jerm.

The always lovely Troy.

Wendi showing off how flexible she is.

Troy likes to take out your eyes first.

This was our our last attempt to save our vision.

We joked alot and said that we wanted to fill this with Candy cigaretts and macaroni. Or something like that. Or maybe Mike and Ikes.

She probably didn't tell this dude that she is also a dude.

Lord know she didn't tell this guy. BTW, I love it when I look this happy. To bad it came at someone else's expense.

But he was drunk so I guess his feelings are negotiable.

I would have been great to actually have listened more to the Blue Method, because they are a great band. I guess that I'll have my chance when they come back January 26th!
